Dear DWC Members,

Welcome to autumn and the fall 2008 edition of the DWC DivisioNews, AKA "Sarah."  This edition includes more interesting, enlightening, and engaging information on scholarship and teaching on women, gender and crime.

As always, we profile feminist scholars who are members of the DWC, have information for graduate students and faculty, news on all of our members, tips on teaching, book reviews, and information on the upcoming ASC conference in St. Louis in November.  Don't forget that the DWC will have lots of activities at the meetings, including a social with the Division on People of Color and Crime on Wednesday night, and breakfast meetings on Thursday and Friday mornings.  Also, the "Feminist Theory in Action" pre-conference workshop will be happening again this year.  I hope to see you at these activities!

As always, this newsletter would not have happened without the hard work of the associate editors and their tireless commitment.  Thanks again to Sarah Brightman, Kristin Carbone-Lopez, Venezia Michalsen, Tara Richards, Lizzie Seal, Susan Sharp, Angie Simon, and Alana Van Gundy-Yoder.

Please feel free to contact me with questions, thoughts, or suggestions.  I look forward to seeing everyone in St. Louis!

Warm Regards,

Amy D'Unger
