Hello Fellow DWC Members,

Happy spring!  Here in Atlanta, that means “Happy try not to sneeze to death because of the three inches of pollen coating everything.”  Ahchoo.  Thanks for checking in on the latest edition of the DWC DivisioNews, the online newsletter for the Division on Women and Crime of the American Society of Criminology.

Hope you’re getting excited about the November ASC meetings in Washington, D.C. (my former hometown).  The deadline for submitting papers and panels has passed, but you still have time to submit posters and roundtable abstracts.  Those are due Friday, May 13th.  Registration for the meeting will open in April.  Click here to get the latest information.

We have some fantastic information in this edition, including a job market that is looking up, member news and profiles, and  information for grad students and new assistant professors.  As always, thanks to the wonderful associate editors who pull it all together, including Tara Richards, Lisa Bostaph, Rebecca Maniglia, Susan Sharp, Kristin Carbone-Lopez, Lizzie Seal, Kathleen Cameron, Kristenne Robison, Sarah Brightman, Amanda Burgess-Proctor, Alana Van Gundy-Yoder, Venezia Michalsen, and Molly Dragiewicz.  If you ever have questions, concerns, comments, or suggestions, don’t hesitate to email me at amy.dunger@hts.gatech.edu.

Cheers,

Amy
