Hello Fellow DWC Members,

Welcome to the summer 2008 edition of the DWC DivisioNews, AKA "Sarah."  I hope that everyone has had a relaxing and productive summer and is ready to jump into the fall!  I also hope that you like the new design and format of the newsletter.  In all my "free time" (ha ha) I've been working on updating the design and features available.  You can access all of the past newsletters, search current newsletters for key words, and access the DWC homepage.  Please let me know if you have any questions, comments, or suggestions for more "upgrades."

This issue of the DivisioNews is our 25th and includes some great information.  We are profiling more feminist scholars, have some book reviews, and some information for all you graduate students on how to survive the beast that is graduate school!  Check out the "Ask a Tenured Professor" column for some sage advice and "Outreach Corner" for all the activities at the upcoming ASC meeting in November.  Also, you can keep track of the activities of our busy and diverse membership in the "Member News" section.

As always, many thanks to the amazing staff of the newsletter, without whom none of this would be possible.  They include Sarah Brightman, Kristin Carbone-Lopez, Venezia Michalsen, Tara Richards, Lizzie Seal, Susan Sharp, Angie Simon, and Alana Van Gundy-Yoder.  I would also like to thank Dottie Hunt and Kari McCarley at Georgia Tech for their amazing help in getting the new website up and running.

Please feel free to contact me with questions, thoughts, or suggestions.  I look forward to seeing everyone in St. Louis!

Warm Regards,

Amy D'Unger
