Hello Fellow DWC Members,

Welcome to (almost) spring 2012!  Thanks for checking out the latest edition of the DWC online newsletter, DivisioNews (AKA Sarah).  This edition, as always, is chock full of helpful information and updates, jobs, news, and advice.  I hope you enjoy looking through the various sections.

A lot is happening with the DWC at the moment.  We have just finished submitting all of our recommendations for DWC members who would like to serve on committees in the ASC in 2013, and nominations are almost complete of DWC members for some of the prestigious awards given by the ASC.  We are also working on a new online member directory and gearing up for planning the celebration of DWC’s 30th anniversary (details on that TBA).  Don’t forget to renew your ASC/DWC membership, and remember that paper submissions for the 2012 ASC annual meeting in Chicago are due very soon.

As always, thanks for checking out this edition of the newsletter and thanks to the wonderful associate editors who pull all the information together and make this newsletter possible.  They include Tara Richards, Alesha Durfee, Rebecca Maniglia, Lisa Bostaph, Venessa Garcia, Andrea Nichols, Jordana Navarro, Nicky Smolter, Meredith Worthen, Alana Van Gundy-Yoder, Venezia Michalson, Molly Dragiewicz, and Lane Kirkland.

Don’t forget that the DWC also has a new-and-improved WEBSITE.  It’s the best way to find out all you need to know about the who, what, when, and why of the Division on Women and Crime.  Go to https://ascdwc.com to check it out!

If you ever have questions, concerns, comments, or suggestions, don’t hesitate to email me at amy.dunger@hts.gatech.edu.

Cheers and Happy Spring,

Amy
