Are you going to be in Philly?  Then help us reach out to potential new members of the DWC!  There are two ways you can help with the Division's Outreach efforts:

1. Sign up for a spot at the Outreach Table.  I have listed the time slots below this message.  You may respond to me privately and I will add you to the master schedule.  For those who are new or need a refresher, staffing the Outreach Table is very easy: you sit at the DWC table (which is almost always near the book exhibit, next to the outreach tables from the other divisions) for an hour-and-twenty-minute shift.   Your job while you're there is to answer the questions of, and provide DWC informational material to, interested passers-by.  The goal is to encourage people to join the Division by showing them how awesome we are! : ) 

We have one day that still has a few slots open- Friday, November 6th.  See the schedule below and email

9:30 a.m. – 10:50 a.m. Amy D’Unger   
11:00 a.m. – 12:20 p.m. Lisa Murphy & Ellen Cohn
12:30 p.m. – 1:50 p.m.       
2:00 p.m. – 3:20 p.m. Christina DeJong  &  Tiffany Jenson
3:30 p.m. – 4:50 p.m.

We'd like to have at least two people at every time slot, so PLEASE sign up for at least one shift.  Let us know if you have any questions.

 

2. Offer a copy of your book for the New Member Book Raffle.  If you are have published a book recently (or not so recently), we'd love it if you would provide a complimentary copy for the raffle.  You may drop your book off at the Outreach Table when you arrive at the conference.  We'll give raffle tickets to every new member who joins the Division; then at the Thursday (and, if we have enough books, also at the Friday) business meeting, we'll raffle off the books to new members who are in attendance.
