Please joining us in congratulating Emily Lenning, she was awarded the Fayetteville State University 2014-2015 Teacher of the Year.

Michael Fox was recently interviewed regarding the conditions in Coffee Creek Correctional Facility, Oregon’s only women’s prison.

Tara Richards, Angela Gover, and Liz Tomsich have a new paper, “A Ten-Year Analysis of Re-arrests Among a Cohort of Domestic Violence Offenders,” forthcoming in Violence and Victims, 29(6).

Sharon Oselin has a new book, Leaving Prostitution: Getting Out and Staying Out of Sex Work (by NYU press).

Kayte Branch is training to run a 100k race to raise money for Girls on the Run – an amazing organization that uses the power of running to help girls live healthier, active lives filled with self-esteem and self-respect. Check it out at Kayte Branch Croomzoom 100k. Congrats Kayte and good luck!

Rosemary Barberet has been promoted to full professor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice.  This past summer, she was elected to the Executive Committee of the International Sociological Association. Her book, Women, Crime and Criminal Justice: A Global Enquiry (Routledge, 2014) is the 2014 Recipient of the Distinguished Book Award of the Division of International Criminology, American Society of Criminology, and the 2015 Outstanding Book Award, International Section, Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences.  Congratulations on all these amazing accomplishments!
