Hello Fellow DWC Members,

I hope that you’re all excited about the upcoming ASC meetings in San Francisco from November 17 – 20.  Don’t forget all of the great DWC-related activities at the meetings, including the pre-conference workshop on feminist theory and action, the DWC/DPCC social, and the business meetings on Thursday and Friday mornings.

As always, we have some fantastic information in this section, including a job market that is looking up, member news and profiles, information for grad students and new assistant professors, and even some new teaching tips!  In addition, visit the newsletter homepage for information on the passing of Sarah Hall, great friend to the DWC and namesake of the online newsletter.

As always, thanks to the wonderful associate editors who pull it all together, including Tara Richards, Lisa Bostaph, Rebecca Maniglia, Susan Sharp, Kristin Carbone-Lopez, Lizzie Seal, Kathleen Cameron, Kristenne Robison, Sarah Brightman, Amanda Burgess-Proctor, Alana Van Gundy-Yoder, Venezia Michalsen, and Molly Dragiewicz.  Thanks also to Charisse Coston for her contribution on teaching for this edition.  If you ever have questions, concerns, comments, or suggestions, don’t hesitate to email me at amy.dunger@hts.gatech.edu.

Looking forward to seeing everyone in San Fran.  Make sure that you’ve made your hotel and flight reservation, purchased a ticket for the social, registered for the conference, downloaded the DWC sessions of interest information, and signed up to staff the DWC Outreach Table.

Cheers,

Amy
