Hello Fellow DWC Members,

Well, it’s that time of year again.  The leaves on the trees are turning, students are counting down the days until Thanksgiving break, and we’re counting down the days to the American Society of Criminology meetings!  Welcome to the winter edition of the DWC DivisioNews, the online newsletter for the Division on Women and Crime of the American Society of Criminology.  I hope you are all having a great fall and gearing up for the meetings in November, to be held in Washington, D.C.

Online registration for the meeting closes on Monday, October 31st, so get your registration done now!  After Monday, all registration will have to be done on-site in November.  Click here to register and get the latest information on events, hotels, travel, etc.  Don’t forget to purchase your ticket for the annual DWC/DPCC SOCIAL, held on Wednesday evening from 8.00 – 9.30 PM.  A good time will be had by all and it’s an important fundraiser for the divisions.  Want to plan out your days at the conference?  Use this handy DWC Sessions of Interest guide to help you find all the best stuff, both scholarly and social.  It’s a PDF that you can print out and bring along with you, or you can save a tree and just refer to it here online.  See you in D.C.!

As always, thanks for checking out this edition of the newsletter and thanks to the wonderful associate editors who pull all the information together and make this newsletter possible.  Don’t forget that the DWC also has a new-and-improved WEBSITE.  It’s the best way to find out all you need to know about the who, what, when, and why of the Division on Women and Crime.  Go to https://ascdwc.com to check it out!

If you ever have questions, concerns, comments, or suggestions, don’t hesitate to email me at amy.dunger@hts.gatech.edu.
