We received a large number of high-quality proposals, which made this year’s selection process very competitive. We are especially thankful for the detailed and thoughtful review of applications completed by our fellow committee members: Drs. Karen Heimer, Jordana Navarro, and Emily Wright. We appreciate the time and efforts of all who applied, and the support of their faculty advisors. There is some truly creative research being done by these talented students, and we look forward to their future contributions to the study of gender and crime.

Given the cancellation of this year’s ASC due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the DWC plans on recognizing all 2020 award winners at the 2021 Breakfast Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony in Chicago. Please join us in congratulating our awardees.

All the best,

Elaine Arnull and Kristy Holtfreter
